Jaami Waali-Villalobos

Jaami Waali Jaami Waali, originally from Washington State, has been dancing for 26 years, beginning with jazz and ballet. She began studying hip hop at the age of 14, and soon organized a school dance team at her high school. After she graduated, she joined AmeriCorps National Service and founded an after school hip hop dance program for teens, to help address the rising teen crime rate. She then moved to San Diego specifically to dance in the San Diego State University dance program. Wanting to dance more, she began teaching hip hop at local gyms and dance studios throughout San Diego. In 2002, she founded Kruciaal Element Hip Hop Dance Company where she directs, choreographs, and organizes numerous performances in San Diego and Los Angeles County including events like Monster Bash and Mardi Gras, sponsored by the Gaslamp Association. Jaami has danced with Fusion Force Dance Company, Urban FX Dance Company, and Funkanometry San Diego. She has been represented by Dorothy Day Otis Dance Agency and Bloc Agency. Jaami has a Bachelor degree in both Fine Arts and Dance from San Diego State University, and her Masters of Arts in Dance from California State University Long Beach.

Angel Waali-Villalobos

Angel Waali-Villalobos, originally from San Diego, California, has been dancing since the age of 5. He has 13 extensive years of performing, choreographing, and teaching, including training along side SGBM, dancers of Jabbawockeez, Boxcuttuhz, Body Poets and more. He currently co-directs Kruciaal Element Dance Company, and is co-owner of KE Talent Casting, a Southern California based casting agency, providing talent (Dancers, Choreographers, Singers, DJs, MCs, Instrumentalists, Models and Actors) for international events. Angel has performed all around Southern and Northern California, including locations such as the Lyceum Theater, House of Blues San Diego, On Broadway Night Club, Aqua Lounge Beverly Hills, Escondido Performing Arts Center, Civic Center, Balboa Park, and many other major dance competitions. Angel's time touring in China gave him additional performance and managment experience with clients from China, Japan, Dubai and Urkraine. Most of the artists Angel manages have performed with industry stars such as: Britney Spears Janet Jackson, Micheal Jackson, Beyonce, Pink, Jlo, Pitbull, Snoop Dogg, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake, etc. KE Talent Casting provides entertainment for a variety of audiences, ranging from intimate gatherings to large scale industry events. Outside of dance, Angel also has over 11 years experience in social services where he has worked with youths from 5-18 years old, adults with physical disabilities and seniors. His ultimate goal is to redefine the limits of dance while continuously striving to make a difference in others' lives by informing, empowering, sharing, nurturing, enlightening and learning as much as he can!

Eliza Moon

Eliza Moon

Passion and grace move through Eliza Moon as her artistry unfolds for audiences throughout Southern California. This dance professional has performed and studied various forms of dance for over a decade. While focusing her talents on tribal fusion belly dance, Eliza has incorporated fire, sword, veil and fan performance to her creations and has a beautiful way of enchanting all those who watch her. Her versatility and experience enable her to tailor entertainment for any event. Eliza uses dancing, performing and teaching as a way to grow as a better person, stronger with each practice and more expressive and embodied in her movements. Her intentions is to share her knowledge with her students to help guide them to their own mastery of self expression. Eliza's classes are fun and full of energy. She teaches for all levels and makes sure no one is left behind or bored with her class. There is always a way to make a move more simple and more complex. Classes start with warming up the body through yoga and light stretching moving into movements that will be broken down to be better understood which will be then drilled into a light and fun cardio segment leading to a short choreographed combo that will be drilled and performed at the end of class. Mario Jaimes

Modern Dance Instructor

Mario Jaimes

This September will mark Mario Jaimes’s seventh year of studying dance and choreography. He graduated from San Diego State University in May 2016 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Management. He was a scholarship student for two years at the Academy of Performing Arts in La Mesa where he trained in ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, and tap. He has performed with companies such as Eastlake Dance Company, Unity 2, (San Diego State) University Dance Company, and San Diego Dance Theater. Mario is interested in discovering new movement through improvisation and he enjoys telling stories through the use of the body. He is planning to apply for a Masters program within the next four years in order to study contemporary dance improvisation and choreography.
